When BackupPC refuses to start…

Some times ago I’ve updated my home server to 10.04 LTS. Now I’ve been panicked because I’ve discovered that no more backup has been done since that day.
The error given was:

* Starting backuppc... 2011-04-15 12:26:49 Can't create a test hardlink between a file in /share/backup/backuppc/pc and /share/backup/backuppc/cpool. Either these are different file systems, or this file system doesn't support hardlinks, or these directories don't exist, or there is a permissions problem, or the file system is out of inodes or full. Use df, df -i, and ls -ld to check each of these possibilities. Quitting...

After trying to mess with all what’s possible (permissions, inodes, variables into configuration files) I’ve simple re-created the /share/backup/backuppc/cpool directory, chown’ed to backuppc:backuppc and…voilĂ ! It works again.

Now I feel fine…
